If you have been around the Help Is Here for Dyslexia website for any length of time, you know our passion for helping parents of kids with dyslexia. There is a lot to know about teaching kids with dyslexia to read. Often people with dyslexia can demonstrate their understanding with a spoken answer but are unable with to put those ideas in writing. So what should be the ideal process to teach dyslexic kids. Let me know your thoughts regarding this.

There are numerous techniques for teaching dyslexic children. Not all the dyslexics will respond to the same techniques, so it is important to work out what will work with each particular child.

Learners need to feel confident to ‘have a go’ and often a dyslexic’s self esteem can be low because of previous failure. When trust is established it is much easier to find out the best way to help and support.

In that case, try to use a range of helpful resources and approaches which will ensure success early on which will motivate the student to learn more and to be more confident in his/her ability to learn.
